Dear well wisher,
As you are aware, along with other activities, Anjuman-e-Aashiqan-e-Abbas Alamdar (A.S.) has been organizing programs in the holy of Ramzan not only for children, but for elders as well. Our aim is to encourage our Momineens to devote their available time in the remembrance of Allah Subhanu Ta’alah in one form or the other. The recitation of Quran is one of the best forms of remembrance in Allah’s own month - Ramzan.
The format for our Ramzan programs this year is as follows:
· Daily Quran Khwani for Momineen (children and adults)
· Daily transmission of dars from Mehfil-e-Murtaza, PECHS (through cable TV)
· Jashan-e-Wiladat Imam Hassan (A.S.) & Manqabat competition on Saturday, 28th August 2010
· Qirat competition preparatory rounds for boys of ages 4 to 16 years
· Grand Final of the Qirat competition on Saturday, 4th September 2010
All programs are held at Aza Khana -e- Zehra , off Britto Road, Amil Colony, Karachi. We would highly appreciate if you could grace us with your presence in the above mentioned programs as well.
To give you a background, Anjuman-e-Aashiqan-e-Abbas Alamdar (A.S.) has been organizing annual Qirat competitions since 1990, for children of our society. Through the spirit of competition, children are encouraged to demonstrate their Qirat skills. Along with this, they are encouraged to learn and improve their skills as they progress. Registration for desirable candidates takes place in the month of Shaban.
The Grand Final of the Qirat competition gives an opportunity to the participants to display their skills live in front of a large audience. Prizes are distributed amongst all participants of the competition and special gifts for winners based on their merit and performance.
In addition to the Qirat competition, this year we are also organizing the 1st Manqabat Competition for boys of ages 15 to 18 years.
To continue this great cause, we would appreciate your generous contributions, as provided every year, in the form of gifts, cash or display banners. Whatever the amount and form of contribution is, your invaluable support will be a tremendous help for us. An early and favorable response shall help us tremendously in organizing the event successfully.
